  • Newcastle Island became a Provincial Marine Park in 1961.  Situated in Nanaimo Harbour within sight of both Vancouver Island and the towering Coastal Mountains of the lower mainland, Newcastle Island possesses a rich natural and cultural history that makes it one of the most intriguing provincial parks in British Columbia.

From the porch you’ll be able to sit back and take in the peacefulness of the park.
  • Lunch includes: TBA

2:30pm Ferry back to Nanaimo

  • After lunch we will hop back on board the ferry and make our way back to Nanaimo’s harbour front.  On the way back, be sure to look forward and take in the view of this picturesque harbour city- oceanfront to mountain top!

3:00 Arrive back to Hotels

A gentle stroll along the waterfront will lead us back to our downtown accommodations. Those folks requiring a shuttle back to accommodations outside of the downtown core will be picked up in front of the Coast Bastion Inn.
